Bengals Acquire John Skelton Off Waivers

24 hours after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals, quarterback John Skelton has found a new home and this time it will be with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals this off season have been looking into signing or acquiring a quarterback to fill the role as backup to current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton. This off season the Bengals let Bruce Gradkowski walk and sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers and in counter move their they signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup quarterback Josh Johnson. John Skelton will be sworn into becoming the Bengals starting quarterback due to his experience, big-arm and his big play capabilities.

John Skelton will be leaving the Arizona Cardinals with 20 total games played as a Arizona Cardinal. In the 20 games that he has played for the team Skelton threw for a total of 3,707 yards, 15 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
