Have you ever wanted to cover your favorite Arizona sports teams for a budding site that is apart of a powerful network that has a partnership with SI.com? Well today is your lucky day! At Heat Waved we are looking to build our staff to cover the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Rattlers, Arizona State Sun Devils, and Phoenix Coyotes. Soon we will be adding Arizona Wildcats and Phoenix Mercury coverage.

If you are a college student in the journalism, broadcasting, or communications field then this is the place for you. Many writers get their start within the FanSided network honing their skills but also having fun at the same time.

Did I mention exposure? Yes when you write for any site in the FanSided network you work is filtered through Sports Illustrated’s digital network.  At FanSided, writers have went on to write for ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and official team sites. A lot of writers in the network start off as staff writers and work their way up to editors just like I did. I started off as a staff writer as at another FanSided site and now I am an editor. If you work hard, it will pay off.

You might ask yourself now how much is required of me? You will need to post four articles per month that’s the minimum but if you want to write more that is good too! The more writing the better.

As I said experience is not required, if you have a good feel about sports and love to write and you see yourself having a career with this or just having fun, why not apply today? With that being said fill out the application telling FanSided about yourself and make sure you have some writing samples.

Finally, if you have questions, concerns, thoughts, or feed back feel free to contact the editor and you can email him at jovan.alford@gmail.com.
