The Arizona Cardinals linebacker core has took a major hit this week already losing Sam Acho, Lorenzo Alexander, and Alex Okafor all to season ending injuries.

Acho suffered a broken leg and Alexander has Lisfranc which both happened in Sunday’s game versus the New Orleans Saints. Then today, rookie linebacker Alex Okafor suffered torn biceps which means the Cardinals have to dig into their practice squad for players.

The Cardinals today signed linebacker Vic So’oto and then promoted Dontay Moch from the practice squad. Finally, the Cardinals added one more linebacker today as according to Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com, Arizona promoted linebacker Kenny Demens from the practice squad.

Demens, who is an undrafted free agent out of Michigan was with the Arizona Cardinals in preseason and had made the initial 53-man roster. Then he was let go after the Cardinals claimed two players off of waiter after final cuts.

In the preseason, Demens only had six tackles and a half sack but if anymore injuries happen he will be pushed into duty. Thankfully, the Cardinals get linebacker Darryl Washington back from suspension.
