For this Morning Meltdown let’s take a look into some of the buzz surrounding the ASU Sun Devils, including a NCAA football preview and  the rebuilding process.

With football season just around the corner, the ASU Sun Devils are getting ready to put the offseason to the test.

"“Arizona State did not have to play Oregon in 2013, but they faced plenty of formidable foes, including Wisconsin, Notre Dame, UCLA and Stanford. Wins over the Badgers and Bruins were the high points of the season, while a crushing setback in South Bend stands out as a low point. However, it was the Cardinal that proved to be the real nemesis, as the Sun Devils lost to them, 42-28, in the third game of the season, and then again the in the conference title tilt (38-14).Following the second loss to Stanford, the Sun Devils laid an egg in the Holiday Bowl against Texas Tech, losing 36-23. It was the only time during the season that they lost back-to-back games.”"

Something that has been asked over and over, since the 2013 season ended was “How are ASU Sun Devils going to make up for the loss of nine defensive starters? Tyler Lockeman of Fox Sports AZ explains just that.

"“ASU has spent the spring and fall trying to answer that question, and with the season opener looming, the Sun Devils are confident with the progress they’ve made, showing strong belief in coach Todd Graham’s system as their saving grace.“I think we’re going to shock people,” defensive coordinator Keith Patterson said. “I think when (teams) start playing us they’re going to be looking for those nine starters that left, and they’re going to have a hard time trying to find them.”"
