Wildcats Look To Add Another Big Man To 2015 Roster

Just when you think you know what Sean Miller is thinking, he changes it up. This comes after the Arizona coaching staff just completed an in-home with Caleb Swanigan, #3 rated center and #13 overall out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Swanigan also holds offers to Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan State, with the Spartans leading the way.

Arizona is looking to round out their recruiting class with a fifth prospect to lock down the #1 recruiting class for 2015. With the 5th spot, Sean Miller seeks a big man. In the mix for that final spot is Stephen Zimmerman, #4 rated center and #14 overall, as well as Ivan Rabb, #1 rated power forward and #6 overall.

Which is why this in-home visit with Swanigan comes as a bit of a surprise. It doesn’t seem as if Arizona has been in strong contention for Swanigan, but with Sean Miller, anything is possible. Just look at the commitment process of Allonzo Trier, #2 rated shooting guard and #11 overall. However Sean Miller just had an in-home visit with Ivan Rabb, so it would be interesting to know exactly what Sean Miller is thinking.

With Sean Miller in pursuit of three of the top 15 players in the country, it’s hard to think Sean Miller doesn’t land one of them.

All things considered, Rabb might just be the best fit for the Arizona Wildcats. Coming from the Oakland Soldiers AAU Club, it could be that Ivan Rabb is feeling pressure from Oakland Soldier turned Arizona Wildcats including Nick Johnson, Brandon Ashley, Aaron Gordon and Stanley Johnson. But a commitment from Rabb would round out the 2015 recruiting class perfectly with Justin Simon at point guard (#4 PG), Allonzo Trier at shooting guard (#3 SG) , Ray Smith at small forward (#2 SF), Ivan Rabb at power forward (#1 PF) and Chance Comanche at center (#10 C). This is especially important considering that the Arizona Wildcats could potentially lose all five projected starters to the 2015 NBA Draft.
