The new NFL year will start tomorrow morning and the Arizona Cardinals have one more player with a deal in place.

Defensive tackle Corey Peters, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons, is set to sign a three-year, $10.5 million deal with the Cardinals on Tuesday.

The 6-3 defensive tackle started 55 games of his 71 career games for the Falcons over a span of five years and he racked up 146 tackles and 11 sacks in his tenure with Atlanta. Peters will help the depth of the defensive line expand for the Cardinals after losing Darnell Dockett to their NFC-West Rival San Francisco 49ers.

Dan Williams is also expected to leave the Cardinals leaving a glaring hole up the middle of the defensive line. Peters joins fellow-Atlanta Falcon Sean Weatherspoon as players that are set to join the Cardinals tomorrow.

The former third round pick from the 2010 NFL Draft is a much better rushing defender comparatively to his pass rushing. He will help take the pressure off of Calaias Campbell to handle all of the dirty work on the defensive front.
