NBA: Where to Watch Phoenix Suns v. Trail Blazers

facebooktwitterreddit

The Phoenix Suns are coming off a three-game homestand, in which the Suns lost all three games, and they now find themselves four games behind the eighth seed in the Western Conference with just eight games left.

What is left to play for now? Pride.

Although the Phoenix Suns are not mathematically eliminated, it is not likely that they pull off a historic run to finish the season and have both Oklahoma City and New Orleans fall apart completely.

Phoenix (38-36) has seen the younger players on the team step up as of late and Suns fans should expect to see extended minutes for guys such as Archie Goodwin and T.J. Warren.

Warren came off of the bench against Oklahoma City on Sunday and finished with an 8-for-10 mark from the field for a career-high 18 points. Warren led all Division I NCAA scorers in his final season at North Carolina State so he knows how to put the biscuit in the basket.

Portland (47-25) and Phoenix just squared off against one another on Friday night in Phoenix as part of the three-game homestand for the Suns.

Phoenix held a 74-70 lead in the fourth quarter, but saw Portland use a 15-2 run to take a nine-point lead. LaMarcus Aldridge made five shots on five straight possessions as part of the run as he scored 10 points in a 3:26 span to power the Blazers to victory.
