Interleague action returns for the Arizona Diamondbacks (46-51) as they head North to Seattle to face the Seattle Mariners (46-53).

Both teams are searching for their 47th win and both own a 5-3 record in interleague play. In their last interleague series, the D-backs swept the Texas Rangers in two games in Arlington.

Monday marks the first time the D-backs and Mariners have faced each other since the 2012 season. The D-backs came out on top in the series, beating Seattle twice to win the series two-games-to-three.

What’s exciting about interleague play is that fans get to see new match ups between their favorite players. For example, we will get to see Paul Goldschmidt square off King Felix Hernandez on Wednesday.

That’s something new. Something exciting. Something baseball is all about. One of the games best hitters against one of the best pitchers in all of baseball.

It doesn’t get much better than that.

Before things get going, here is a short list of some of the players to keep an eye on during the series.
