Jason Kubel Not In Lineup For Game 2 Against St.Louis

Coming off an impressive 6-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals last night the Arizona Diamondbacks who are setting to prepare for game 2 of the 3 game set against the St. Louis Cardinals will be with out the power bat of Jason Kubel.

The benching is non-injury related but it is due to the St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jaime Garcia going to be hitting the mound tonight for St. Louis.

Diamondbacks skipper Kirk Gibson will instead place up and coming Diamondback Alferdo Marte to play right field tonight. With Kubel not in the lineup his role for tonight will be for him to be used off the bench in the later innings of tonight’s game.
