Former Arizona State Sun Devil great Rudy Carpenter has found a new home in the Canadian Football League. Today he signed a contract with the BC Lions.

In 2009 Rudy Carpenter began his run in the National Football League when he was signed as a undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. Carpenter did not see a lot of action during the pre-season and was waived at the conclusion of the pre-season but was re-signed to the Cowboys practice squad where he would be signed off the practice roster and acquired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During his tenure with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carpenter was flopped around form being on the practice roster to the main roster from 2009 to 2011. Carpenter was then again re-acquired by the Dallas Cowboys in the spring of 2011 and would later be released by the Cowboys in August of that year.

Carpenter will be joining the BC Lions who have a number of quarterbacks on the roster. Carpenter will be joining the bunch and will be added depth to the Lions roster.
