Today, the Arizona Cardinals made some player transactions and in the process upgraded their offensive line. The Cardinals signed two rookie centers in Deveric Gallington and Kyle Quinn. Gallington made it known on Twitter that he would be signing with the Cardinals:

The other rookie they also signed today was defensive tackle Jonathan Mathis. Quinn is a home grown talent coming from the University of Arizona and Gallington and Mathis both went to Texas schools in Texas Tech and Texas A&M. It’s good to see the Cardinals making the offensive line a priority because they will need Carson Palmer to stay healthy for all 16 regular season games.

To make room for these three players, the Cardinals waived wide receivers LaRon Byrd and Tyler Shaw and defensive end Everrette Thompson. LaRon Byrd and Everrette Thompson were both apart of the waived-injured list. Byrd has a concussion and Thompson has an arm injury.

With these additions and subtractions, the Cardinals are now at the 90-player roster limit. The Cardinals first preseason game is on Friday at 8:00 pm at Green Bay versus the Packers.
