You can now add another Arizona State Sun Devil basketball player to a NBA roster. Standout star Carrick Felix, who was drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Cavaliers will be signing a reported four year contract reported by Bob Finnan of the News Herald. Finnan said:
"The first three years of Felix’s contract are guaranteed, according to Hoopsworld.com. The No. 33 overall pick in the 2013 draft will earn $510,000 in 2013-14, about $20,000 more than the league minimum.”"
This is great to see because Felix, who is 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, brings another element to the young Cleveland Cavaliers who are looking to make a playoff push this upcoming season. In the Las Vegas Summer League, Felix made a name for himself which ultimately got him a contract. In the summer league, he scored 7.2 points and grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game. But what can you get on a NBA roster quicker than scoring, is how you play defense.
That right here caught Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown’s eye because you don’t find many young players that can play or want to play defense. Carrick Felix did it and it all but seems that he will be a Cleveland Cavalier.
