Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has only one job on Sunday and that is to cover Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Johnson who is also called Megatron, is one of the best wide receivers in the game but that does not phase Peterson at all.

Peterson said about this matchup against Megatron via AZCardinals.com:

"And if you are the best, you guard the best. I relish these type of moments, just to see how I will match up against arguably the best receiver in football last year, eventually he’s going to be a Hall of Famer and he already is a legend.”"

Last season, these two teams met up and Peterson held Johnson without a touchdown even though he would have 10 catches for 121 yards. Also in that game the Cardinals would blow out the Lions 38-10, so best believe Detroit has revenge on their minds coming into this week.

Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said about the Peterson and Johnson matchup, “I think an elite player like Patrick, in my opinion is probably the best corner in the league, is going against the best receiver in the league.” If Peterson can put on the same performance like he last year against Johnson, then I’m all but certain the Cardinals will win again. Nevertheless, this will still be a great game to watch on Sunday afternoon.
