Yes you have read the title right, Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians would fight to not have his team on HBO’s Hard Knocks, which has become really big over the past few years.

The NFL has made it a point that if no teams volunteer for the Hard Knocks, they will just appoint a team to do it. As mean as that may sound, Hard Knocks is a pretty good show that has very interesting storylines in it each season. But Arians isn’t having his team on there.

Arians said to Bill Polian and Alex Marvez on SiriusXM Radio that “I think it’s a total distraction, and I think it’s an embarrassment to players.”  I would agree with Arians that it is a total distraction, I mean look at the Miami Dolphins’ Hard Knocks season and the whole Chad Ochocinco situation that had developed from it.

I would also agree that is an embarrassment to players because nobody wants to see players get cut week by week and especially on final cut day. Arians preaches this sediment that I just said, saying “I think when players are released, some of the things that are said between coaches and players are too personal and nobody else’s business.”

I admire Arians sticking up for his team against NFL in terms of being on Hard Knocks but let’s keep it real here if the NFL says that the Arizona Cardinals have to do it, then it will happen. The NFL is becoming a media conglomerate and whatever media it can push themselves in they will do it.
