In a game that the Arizona State Sun Devils needed to win after their 37-34 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last week, the Sun Devils destroyed the Colorado Buffaloes 54-13 tonight in Pac-12 conference play.
Tonight’s game was the Taylor Kelly and Marion Grice show. Kelly threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns while he rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown. On the other hand, Marion Grice continued to keep on running the ball. Grice rushed for 88 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns.
At the half, Arizona State was already up 47-6 so there was no way Colorado was coming back. Arizona State’s running game rushed for 276 yards and four touchdowns. Colorado had no answer for the Sun Devils tonight.
The Sun Devils’ defense also was a huge player in tonight’s game causing three Colorado Buffaloes turnovers. Colorado’s quarterbacks Sefo Liufau threw two interceptions and Connor Wood threw an interception. The defense also held star wide receiver Paul Richardson to only four catches and 39 receiving yards.
But the now 4-2 Arizona State Sun Devils have a tall task in front of them and that is next Saturday at 6:00 pm ET, they will take on the Washington Huskies at Sun Devil Stadium. This will be a tough but fun game as Washington is also 4-2 coming into this game. This game will be the battle of the offenses.
