Don’t tell Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians that Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers was a moral victory because he will shoot you right down.
Arians was not happy with his team’s performance because he knew that they had a chance to win. A reporter asked Arians if there was something positive to take from yesterday’s loss.
Arians responded with this:
"Nothing. We only play to win. I don’t give a damn about playing close or any of that stuff. We were here to win. We had the game in our hand. That’s what we take from it. We learned that if we quit beating ourselves, we can beat anybody.”"
Arians is correct this is the NFL and they are there to win games, not play close but to win especially a divisional game which could have helped the Cardinals so much.
Arians continued with this:
"You just kick somebody’s ass and you’ll be alright.”"
If you are an Arizona Cardinals fan you have to love the emotion and passion that Arians brings to the game. He wants to build a winning culture in Arizona and I think that it will happen over due time. For now the Cardinals have a short week as they play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night football.
