Fairleigh Dickinson out of the Northeast conference did not play bad tonight but the Arizona Wildcats played just that great. The Wildcats defeat the Knights 100-50 in NIT Season Tip-Off action.

The Wildcats were clicking on all cylinders tonight from the starting lineup to the bench. Off the bench, freshman forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 18 minutes of action. Hollis-Jefferson also had two high-flying dunks in tonight’s game that opened people’s eyes.

Also having a big game off the bench was sophomore guard Gabe York. York scored 20 points in 19 minutes while shooting 4 of 6 from the three-point line.

The Wildcats’ starting lineup had a fairly quiet game but still performed at a high level. Nick Johnson scored 16 points while shooting 3 of 4 from the three-point line. While, freshman superstar Aaron Gordon had another double-double consisting of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even though, the freshman shot 3 of 11, he is still making an impact on the floor.

Arizona’s defense was stifling tonight holding Fairleigh Dickinson to only 31 percent shooting from the field. Senior guard Sidney Sanders Jr. scored 16 points leading the way for the Knights.

The Arizona Wildcats are now 4-0 on the season and will take on the Rhode Island Rams out of the Atlantic 10 conference tomorrow night at 11:00 pm ET.
