After an amazing start to the season for the Arizona Wildcats they get rewarded with a bowl game on December 31st against the Boston College Eagles out of the ACC.
The Wildcats finished the season 7-5 and 4-5 in the Pac-12. In their last game of the season in the Territorial Cup, they got blasted by the Arizona State Sun Devils 58-21.
Arizona gets to redeem themselves on the 31st against a tough Boston College team. The Boston College Eagles also come into the bowl game with a 7-5 record but a 4-4 ACC conference record.
This game will be between the battle of the running backs. Andre Williams and Ka’Deem Carey are NFL prospects that can be three down backs.
Both running backs carry the rushing loads for their teams. The Arizona Wildcats are ranked 11th in the country in rushing with 265.8 yards per game, while the Boston College Eagles are ranked 20th in the country with 218.1 yards per game.
Williams and Carey both could be Heisman candidates as their numbers are just outstanding. First of all, Andre Williams has 2,102 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. In an ACC game against North Carolina State, Williams had 339 rushing yards on 42 carries and two touchdowns.
Finally, Ka’Deem Carey just as well puts up the same numbers as Williams. Carey has rushed for 1,716 yards and 17 touchdowns. His best game was against Oregon when he rushed for 206 yards on 46 carries and four touchdowns.
This game promises to be high scoring with a lot of touchdowns. It can be seen on ESPN at 12:30 pm ET.
