Top Prospect

Stryker Trahan

Trahan is rated as the No. 7 prospect in the Diamondbacks’ system. He was a first-round pick in the 2012 Amateur Draft and spent last season with Missoula of the Pioneer League (rookie level). He hit .254 with 10 home runs in 59 games. Defensively, he caught 40 of base stealers, but he also committed 11 errors, for a less-than-ideal .969 fielding percentage.

MLB.com projects Trahan won’t be ready for the majors until 2016. He’s also listed as the No. 7 catching prospect in all of the minors, so the Diamondbacks should have a good one coming through the pipeline in a few seasons.
