Want to win in the NFL? Don’t turn the ball over or if you absolutely can’t stay away from those interceptions, make sure your teammates are there to step up and create some turnovers. The 2013 Cardinals were No. 17 in the NFL in takeaway/giveaway ratio, in large part due to a rash of picks thrown by Carson Palmer earlier in the season.
The last time the Cardinals were top-5 in this was WAY back in 1974 as the St. Louis Cardinals. That team was led by quarterback Jim Hart, who went 10-4 and threw just eight interceptions. Terry Metcalf did fumble 14 times that year. The Cardinals had six different games where they didn’t turn it over at all. They were 5-1 in that span.
