Here at Heat Waved we’d like you to begin your day with us. Everyday we are going to run an article with the latest stories surrounding your favorite Arizona teams.

Let’s take a look into some of the buzz surrounding the Arizona State Sundevils.

Azcentral.com’s, Doug Haller, takes a look into the Sundevils first week of football practice. Haller writes in report form to analyze all of the going ons from this week.

"“On Monday Graham said the Sun Devils committed nine penalties, more than any other practice he could remember. Since then they’ve been better. On Wednesday, he said they committed just one. On Friday they had six, three of which were procedure infractions. Before Saturday’s practice, ASU will gather for its annual meeting with Pac-12 officials. “Tomorrow’s a big teaching-and-learning session,” Graham said. “We’ll have the offensive and defensive lines together, and we’ll go through all the mechanics of the officials and how they officiate the game.”Graham said junior receiver Gary Chambers (6 feet 3, 209 pounds) has stuck out more recently, particularly with his run blocking. Chambers ran with the first team for nearly all of spring practice and has done so throughout the first week of preseason practice.”"

Another ASU football post for this Morning Meltdown; an article from azcentral explains how Tashon Smallwood is starting to get into his zone again at ASU camp.

Jeff Metcalfe writes,

"“The evolution of Smallwood and fellow freshmen defensive linemen Renell Wren and Connor Humphreys is a fascinating and significant subplot to ASU’s season. All are needed to play immediately given the losses of Will Sutton, Carl Bradford, Gannon Conway, Davon Coleman and the absence from camp so far of Jaxon Hood.Until nose tackle Hood returns, there is no one with starting experience in the defensive line and at the hybrid Devil-backer position. And no time for the freshmen defensive linemen to ease gradually into the higher level.”"
