For this Morning Meltdown let’s take a look into some of the buzz surrounding the Phoenix Suns.

Free agency is still a subject of contention for the Phoenix Suns, and the drama (still) surrounding Eric Bledsoe proves just this. Andrew Melnick discusses the possibility of Eric Bledsoe signing the Suns’ qualifying offer.

"“Bledsoe reportedly turned down a four-year, $48 million deal to remain with the Suns and has been looking for a max deal (five years, $80 million).Bledsoe hasn’t received other offers, likely because teams believed the Suns would match any offer sheet he would sign. The Suns and Bledsoe are growing further apart and there is speculation Bledsoe could accept the Suns’ qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent next year.”"

With the offseason in full effect, we are the first to admit that these months are the worst for basketball fans alike. Fox Sports Arizona’s Randy Hill explores the Suns “shortages” will effect them in the long run.

"“So, even with the ultra-quick Thomas and Bledsoe stalking dribblers on the perimeter, selling out in ball pressure is dicey when the opposition lines up with Tony Parker or Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook r Damian Lillard or Ty Lawson or Steph Curry or…This incomplete roll call serves to remind us that defensive harassment on the perimeter — while having some merits in the sport’s greatest league — should be used sparingly.“That’s something you do against some backup point guard,” Hornacek said. While showing tactical respect for the NBA’s legion of elite ball handlers is wise, it doesn’t mean the Suns can’t use their quickness, agility and depth to a defensive advantage.”"
