Phoenix Suns Owner Hasn’t Heard From Eric Bledsoe In Months
By Mario Hicks
Phoenix Suns owner, Robert Sarver, admits that the team hasn’t spoken to Eric Bledsoe in four months.
The Eric Bledsoe drama has been keeping us all entertained this offseason, and it is clear that there is bad blood between the Phoenix Suns and Bledsoe, which all stem from stalled negotiations between the team and the restricted free agent.
Sarver says that the team has every intention of ending the lack of communication and getting the twenty-four year old on board to sign a long-term deal with the Suns.
It is starting to look as though they will have to result to signing a qualifying offer of $3.7 million which makes Bledsoe an unrestricted free agent next summer.
According to AZ Republic, Robert Sarver has released this statement about the situation,
"““We value Eric as a player,” Sarver said. “I hope at some point we’ll be able to sit down and meet with those guys and make a deal.”“Maybe that’s just posturing and negotiating,” Sarver said of the reports. “We haven’t heard from the guy in four months, so I couldn’t tell you. I do know that when he played here, he felt good about the organization, his coaching staff and his teammates at the end of the season. We had the same feelings toward him.”“Hopefully, at the end of the day, Eric comes here and does a contract,” Sarver said. “If that doesn’t happen, then he’ll be here for a year and we’ll have a year to figure it out on both sides.”"
We are rooting for the organization to sign Bledsoe and be on the right side of a playoff run. What do you guys think? Is he worth it?
