Arizona Cardinals LB John Abraham Returns To Camp

As reported by John Weinfuss of ESPN.com, Arizona Cardinals veteran outside linebacker, John Abraham, will report to training camp this morning.

Although it has not been declared if the veterans absence is related to his recent DUI arrest, but he has been absent from camp since then.

Heat Waved has been reporting on the situation since it happened and his status has been changing since July. Yesterday, Darren Urbam of AZCardinals.com spoke with GM Steve Keim about when he expects John Abraham to return.

"“General Manager Steve Keim said this afternoon he expects absent linebacker John Abraham ‘in the very near future.” Asked if that was next week, Keim said “sooner than next week.’And when Abraham does arrive, Keim sounded like a man who has no doubt that his veteran will play a role in the 2014 defense.‘It’s the same thing as a guy who is injured,” Keim said. “He has to work his way into playing shape and a guy coming off 11½ sacks at 35 years old, you’d like to think he’s still going to be able to contribute,” Keim said. “He just has to get his legs back under him.'”"

Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 in Arizona tweeted that Abraham was expected to return at some point yesterday, but that wasn’t the case.

Let’s hope that John Abraham returns today so the Cardinals can make progress with him on the team.
