On Saturday, August 16, the Arizona Cardinals will take on the Minnesota Vikings in the second preseason game of the year! The Arizona Cardinals will be going in to the game in a lot better shape than the Vikings.

Tyrann Mathieu – OUT
Mathieu (knee) is “pretty close” to coming off the Cardinals’ PUP list within a week, the team’s official website reports. Matheiu was thought to be back on the practice field in “the next two to three weeks.” Coach Bruce Arians has said all along, though, that he doesn’t expect Honey Badger to suit up for live action before Arizona’sWeek 5 meeting with the Denver Broncos.
Ted Ginn Jr. – Probable
Ginn (knee) may be a game-time call for Saturday’s preseason outing in Minnesota, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals’ official site reports.
Michael Floyd – Probable
Floyd (groin) — who did not practice Tuesday — could be game-time decision for Saturday’s preseason game against the Vikings, Kyle Odegard of azcardinals.com reports.
John Abraham – Probable
Abraham (personal) is slated to report to training camp Wednesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.
Houston Texans Injury Report
Dom DeCicco – OUT
DeCicco will have surgery on his hip Thursday, ESPN 1500 am Twin Cities reports.
Chase Ford – OUT
Ford (broken) foot has started to run and could return in a week or so, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Robert Blanton – Questionable
Blanton (hamstring) will not play in Saturday’s preseason game, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Josh Robinson – Doubtful
Robinson (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Saturday’s preseason game, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Jamarca Sanford – Probable
Chris Crocker has been working with the first-team defense in practice and appears to have a shot to win the starting strong safety job over Sanford, ESPN reports.
