Rumors: Eric Bledsoe To The Lakers?

Another day, still no progress on the Eric Bledsoe saga. There are, however, new rumors surrounding the player. One of those rumors puts Eric Bledose in LA with the Lakers and Julius Randle in Phoenix.

According to Jude LaCava of Fox Sports 910, it appears the Suns may be giving up on the partnership. LaCava had this to say on an 8-19 broadcast: “I do believe in my NBA sources. You can take this to the bank, so to speak, the Suns are now discussing trade possibilities for Eric Bledsoe.”

So where could the Suns off load the trouble man? Reports are swirling in the sports world that he could be getting on a flight to LA.

This news has been circulating since July when Jordan Schultz reported his sources are moving forward with a sign-and-trade in which the Suns would give up Eric Bledsoe, receive Julius Randle and a first-round pick from Houston.

The Lakers have plenty of money. They swung and missed hard on the big fishes (Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Bosh) so they might be looking to acquire Eric Bledsoe.

However, the Lakers did trade for Jeremy Lin so adding Bledsoe would be questionable.

The trade with the Lakers may be centered around the Suns taking back Steve Nash for his last season.

Lakeshowlife says,

"“One idea may be to place Steve Nash back in a place to where he succeeded the most, with the Phoenix Suns.  Even with his $8 million dollar contract, the Lakers would need to find at least another $5 million or so to match the contract demands for Eric Bledsoe.  Purely based on speculation, the Phoenix Suns may be interested in Jordan Hill“."

The Suns could be interested in Jordan Hill due to our lack of bigs.” It also helps that Jordan Hill played college ball for no other than the Arizona Wildcats.

LASportsHub has also weighed in on the news.

"“Would the Lakers take a crack at trying to trade for Bledsoe and sign him to a long-term deal at the end of the season? It’s possible. What do the Lakers have to lose? The problem for the Lakers is that they are seriously deprived of tradable assets.”"

The rumors have been circulating for a while. If the Suns and Lakers are talking, who would you want in return from the Lakers, Suns fans?
