On paper this team should be great, but there appears to be something just a little off this time around.  Coach Jim Harbaugh has been strongly linked to other teams as rumors continue of discontent within the Niners front office. The new stadium has been opened at home to Denver which saw a goose egg put on the board, admittedly in pre-season.

There have been several off the field problems to overcome as well,most notably  in the case of leading pass rusher Aldon Smith. He is likely to be banned for at least 1 month of the coming season, after DUI and bomb threat charges were bought against him.  Injuries also have hit the Niners in a big way.  Navarro Bowman was already out with ACL issues that occurred in last years NFC Championship game.

They of course have Colin Kaepernick still and his favorite receiver Michael Crabtree is back for the entire season this time which will be a big help, The Niners have suffered a great deal of injuries which will make their journey tough come next season.
