As football conferences go the PAC 12 could be considered the second best behind the SEC.   The conference is stacked and even the teams on the bottom compare well to the other conference mid level teams.

The PAC 12 elite should dominate the AP Top 10 early this season with Oregon, UCLA, USC and Stanford all considered elite teams on the national stage.

Preseason PAC 12 Power Rankings

12. California Bears

Head coach Sonny Dykes is trying to build a winner at Cal.  They have a long way to go but are starting to get some pieces to build around.  The Bears have a great opportunity to start the season with a quality win over the Big Ten’s Northwestern Wildcats.

11. Colorado Buffaloes

The Buffaloes haven’t gone bowling since 2007.  They hope to change that this season.  The first five games on their schedule are all winnable and could give Colorado the momentum they need to have a solid season.
