The Arizona State Sun Devils return to the field on Thursday night against Weber State anxious to wipe the taste of last years post season right out of their mouths.  That will be easier to do for the Sun Devils than for most teams considering they are only return 6 starters from last years postseason debacle.

Freshman will have a big impact on the Sun Devils in the game against Weber State.  Head coach Todd Graham expects 4 freshmen to see action on defense including linebacker DJ Calhoun and Tashon Smallwood who will be the 7th and 8th freshman to start their first game for the sun Devils.

"f”We made a commitment to go with younger guys,” coach Todd Graham said. “I’m comfortable with it.”"

Comfortable is an understatement.  Graham has been singing the praises of freshman defensive tackle Tashon Samllwood saying he is among the best he has ever coached.

"“I told him he’s the best freshman that I’ve ever had, but you want me to say you’re the best I’ve ever had period, instead of just freshman,” Graham said. “I’ve got a lot of confidence in him. I think he is going to be a great one for us. We’ll see how he responds when the lights come on. If I’m correct, I think he’ll respond in a big way.”"

All the talk and speculation end tonight as the sun Devils finally get to kick it off.
