Morning Meltdown – Sun Devils Edition
By Mario Hicks
For this Morning Meltdown, let’s take a look into some of the buzz surrounding the ASU Sun Devils!
ASU fans rejoiced last night as the Sun Devils kicked off their first game of the 2014/15 season. And to their delight, they rolled over Weber State 45-15. See below for an excerpt from the game recap.
"“Yes it was Weber State, but the Sun Devils put on a show on the offense and defense. The Sun Devils ranked 6th in the PAC 12 preseason rankings, and 19th in the country looked every bit of a nationally ranked team. The Sun Devils offense fired early and often in the first quarter. D.J. Foster topped off the explosive first quarter with a one yard touchdown run that gave the Sun Devils at 17-0 advantage.Taylor Kelly was solid. He threw for 237 yards on 18/27 attempts. Jaelen Strong, however, was outstanding! He caught 10 catches for 146 yards, but Foster was what the fans came to see.”"

Continuing with the theme of ASU football, lets take a look at what we think is the Red Hot Sun Devil of last nights game.
"“We previously predicted that Foster would play a big role this year earlier in the monthhere. But we didn’t know that D.J. Foster would pick up where he left off last season in last night’s performance.Foster capped off a 6 play, 55 yard drive with a one yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He then punched in a three yard touchdown in the second quarter to add to his resume for the game. The real excitement happened in the third quarter however. D.J. Foster broke a few tackles, spun to the outside and raced to the end-zone for a 57 yard touchdown run. The long run was his third touchdown of the game, but also pushed his rushing yards over the century mark for the game.”"
