One of the Best Receiver Cores in the NFL

When someone mentions the Arizona Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald is the first name that comes to mind. Larry is a Cardinal legend now; sitting at the top of team’s all-time reception chart. Many people felt as though Larry had lost a step, however, he battled though two hamstring injuries last season and was still able to log over 900 receiving yards. Over the preseason he was able to find space and get to the endzone, so rumors of his demise seem to be false.

Opposite of Larry, following some what of a breakout year, is Michael Floyd. Floyd logged over 1,000 receiving yards last season as secondaries focused on Fitzgerald. Many of Floyd’s catches came on third down, showing that he has that “clutch” gene. There are high expectations for Floyd this year and I am sure that he will follow through.

The 2 Browns, Jed and John were both stars of the preseason. Both made big plays but the case can be made that John made a slightly bigger impact. John Brown established himself as a kind of “TY Hilton” type of player. Hilton had a huge year and will continue to use his speed moving forward. To make a long story short, opponents will be very silly to leave either of them unattended.

Since we are discussing speed, it is only right that we mention Ted Ginn Jr. Ginn is perhaps the quickest player in the league and will be a treat in the return game for the Cardinals. If given open space, Ginn has the potential to take it to the house at any given time.

The Cardinals also have a weapon at the tight end spot. John Carson is a very serviceable player and can read zone coverages and  pick up his yardage in a traditional tight end fashion.

Carson Palmer has plenty of options to get the ball down field. As a Cardinals fan you can’t help but be excited as we intend to make the playoffs this time around. For the Fantasy owner, while everyone is looking at Manning and Newton, take an extra skill player in the early rounds. As you are looking to fill your roster, swoop in with Carson Palmer and watch the touchdowns and Fantasy points rack up as you shock everyone.
