Jared Tevis – Wild Wildcat Of The Game
By Mario Hicks
Here at Heat Waved we like to put the spotlight on the “Wild Wildcat of the Game” from each week. In today’s feature, Jared Tevis is our Wild Wildcat of the Game .
Coming off the back of a win against UNLV, the Wildcats had a new challenge when taking on UTSA. You can read the recap here. But we didn’t know that Jared Tevis would take over the defense the way he did last night.
Jared Tevis stood out on the Arizona defense that allowed UTSA to rack up 349 yards of total offense. Jared Tevis led the Wildcats with 16 tackles and had the game’s lone interception, a pick that proved to ice the game for Arizona. Scooby Wright had 11 tackles, including one of Arizona’s three sacks on the night. Reggie Gilbert and Tellas Jones also came up with sacks in the contest.
ESPN’s College Football was excited about the Wilcats win too.
