The Phoenix Suns have had only one player from their team playing in the FIBA World Cup this summer, Goran Dragic. Soon, it could become two players.

Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that there are 3 different teams interested in signing Zoran Dragic, the brother of current Suns’ guard, Goran Dragic. Apparently, the Phoenix Suns are one of those teams:

"Sources here in Spain told ESPN.com this weekend that the Phoenix Suns are indeed among the three NBA teams expressing the most serious interest in signing Goran Dragic‘s younger brother Zoran."

It would be a very interesting fit for the Suns as they already have a brother duo on their squad with Marcus and Markieff Morris.

Zoran Dragic has been killing it for Slovenia alongside his brother Goran as Slovenia has become one of the better offenses in the FIBA World Cup:

Goran Dragic: 16.5 points per game, 58.8% shooting percentage, 38.5% 3-point percentage

Zoran Dragic: 13.5 points per game, 53% shooting percentage, 45% 3-point percentage

Very similar numbers between the two Slovenians and it would be very wise to take a long look at Zoran due to the fact that the Suns know what kind of player his brother is. Zoran is also younger, 25, so there would be more years for him to develop and become an even better player than, possibly, his brother.

There is still an obstacle in snatching Zoran for any NBA team and that is his current deal with the Spanish team called Unicaja Malaga. Zoran can opt out of his contract with his current team but it has to be before Unicaja Malaga starts their season and Zoran will have to pay some out-of-pocket to leave the team.

An NBA team could pitch in towards his buyout but, regardless, Zoran would still have to pay a bit out-of-pocket. Zoran could wait until next season and then opt out which would decrease the buyout cost.

Goran, when talking about the play of his brother:

"“We can share the court and maybe do some damage [with the national team]. And hopefully someday we can play each other in the NBA.”"

Play each other in the NBA? How about they play alongside each other in the NBA? That would sound really good for any Phoenix Suns’ fan.
