The Arizona State Sun Devils travel to Boulder Colorado for the Buffaloes home opener. Colorado is hoping to shed the label of PAC-12 doormat by scoring an upset over the Sun Devils.
That will be a tall order against a high-powered ASU offense that has both experience and talent on their side. Buffaloes coach Mike McIntrye expressed his respect for the ASU offense to the Daily Camera.
"“They have big, big athletic receivers,” MacIntyre said this week of ASU. “Their running backs are good. Their offensive line is excellent and intact and can do a lot of things. I think they’re an excellent, excellent offensive football team.”"
This game is a classic trap game for the Sun Devils. Going on the road to face a team in their home opener is a tricky prospect no matter how high your team is ranked. The Sun Devils have won the previous 5 meetings against the Buffaloes but will have to avoid the temptation to overlook Colorado with UCLA looming next week.
