Aaron Hill Suffers Injury In Game Against Minnesota Twins
By Mario Hicks
Yet another injury has struck the Arizona Diamondbacks. Aaron Hill dislocated the top of his right pinkie after sliding head-first into home plate during the D’backs’ 6-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Immediately after the play, Hill immediately made a beeline for the clubhouse.
"“His eighth inning began with a leadoff double before stealing third base. On Chris Owings‘ high chopper behind the mound toward shortstop, Hill sprinted toward home and anticipated a play at the plate. Instead, the Twins’ Danny Santana threw to first to get Owings out. Replays showed an awkward landing for Hill and with the way he looked, I thought the injury made have been worse. It appeared as though he landed hard on his shoulder and with the way he was walking, I and probably many others thought it could have been separated. Thankfully, it was “only” a finger.”"
As of right now, Aaron Hill is listed as day-to-day.
The Arizona Diamondbacks continue their series against the Minnesota Twins tonight, in Minnesota, at 7:10 p.m.
