Under the Thursday night lights the Bruins and Sun Devils will meet in a huge early season match-up with postseason implications. The Arizona State Sun Devils probably won’t play a bigger game for the rest of the season save the PAC 12 Championship. And that is likely where the winner of this game is headed barring some kind of catastrophic event.
After practice on Tuesday, ASU coach Todd Graham told the media that his team would prepare mentally to avoid mistakes when the pressure is greatest.
"“This is the toughest opponent we’ve had here. It’s the game that decides the South. I talked a lot about visualization. Talked about the mental preparation. The key is don’t beat yourself. Be fundamentally sound. Zero penalties. One hundred percent ball security. That’s how we win the football game.”"
The winner of this game will be in the driver’s seat in the PAC 12 South and will control their own fate on the way to the championship game.
