Montgomery is the lead kick returner and punt returner for Stanford. He doesn’t get too many chances for kick returns with the defense as stout as it is. He has nine kick returns with a 29.1 return average and he has nine punt returns with a 21.6 yard average, but has brought one of those nine punts back to the house.

The kicking game has been nonexistent for the Cardinal this year. Jordan Williamson is the place kicker and he has only made six of his 11 attempts. He missed two field goals in a narrow 13-10 defeat against Notre Dame, including a 26-yard field goal early in the third quarter that would have evened the score.
