The newly renovated McKale Center is home to the #2 preseason ranked Arizona Wildcats Basketball program. This past summer the McKale Center and Arizona Athletics went through tremendous renovations that will greatly impact all 20 of the school’s sports programs but mainly men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and gymnastics.

41 years later and here at the University of Arizona, the athletics program is changing the face of McKale. The program has received a tremendous amount of donations from donors and alumni that were put towards these renovations, and are sure to attract a sell out crowd each game this season.

With all the hype surrounding Arizona Basketball over the years, these upgrades will become a huge factor for recruits to get a chance to see one of the best facilities in college basketball and if not the most luxurious in the Pac-12.

As one of the top programs in NCAA Basketball, the Arizona Wildcats have it all from coaches, to players, to a beautifully renovated arena; there is nothing more they could be hungry for than a National Championship.

The Wildcats are set to compete for a National Championship and what better place to do so than a sold out arena. For fans on the concourse, they will experience added restrooms and concession spaces to improve their overall experience.

During home games McKale center will also feature a new court, LED energy efficient lights, seats in the lower bowl (each have an embroidered “A”), as well as new video boards and scoreboard.

To note all the behind the scenes upgrades McKale Center will offer to current players, coaches, alumni and recruits are: team video room with movie theater seating, player kitchen area, players lounge, lockers built for players 7’2 and below, alternate kitchen, training room connected to the locker room, and coaches locker room. Much of the upgrades will be beneficial to recruiting giving more space to player’s families inside the McKale center because NCAA rules do not permit the entertaining of recruits outside of campus.

The atmosphere is sure to live up to the expectations this upcoming season as the Wildcats pursue their quest for a title. Make sure to catch their first home exhibition game on November 9th as the Cats take on Cal Poly Pomona.

In today’s news, Arizona has been picked to win the Pac-12 conference. They received 31 of 32 votes. Be sure to catch Pac-12 Media Day where Brandon Ashley and head coach Sean Miller will make an appearance on Pac-12 Networks at approximately noon MST.
