Phoenix Suns Edition
The exhibition season is almost over and no one will be happier than Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver. He is so anixous is fact that he grabbed the PA announcers microphone and offered an apology for many of the San Anotnio Spurs who didn’t evn make the trip for the exhibtion game in Phoenix. Apparently Sarver is already in mid-season form.
While Sarver is fussing the Suns are running and they are counting on their team speed to get them to the playoffs this season.
The Phoenix Suns also may have found their back-up big man and are considering giving Earl Barron a shot at the gig.
From ProBaketballTalk.com: Pro Basketball Talk Season Preview
"The Suns are well-positioned to surpass last year’s win total and make a run at one of the final two postseason spots in the Western Conference. The addition of Thomas gives the team even more firepower off the bench, and if Plumlee and Markieff Morris continue to improve, there’s no reason Phoenix can’t continue to surprise, and make a return to the playoffs in the upcoming season."
From ProBasketballTalk.com: Suns Owner Apologizes For Spurs Absence
"“Hey everybody, I want to thank you for coming out tonight. This is not the game you paid your hard-earned money to watch. I apologize for it. And I want you to send me your tickets if you came tonight, with a return envelope, and I’ve got a gift for you on behalf of the Suns for showing up tonight.”"
From AZCentral: Phoenix Suns May Have A Spot For Earl Barron
"Barron was jumping onto a moving train in November 2010 as a fill-in for Robin Lopez, who had sprained his knee. This time, Barron prepared well for training camp. He has improved his shooting ability over four years and has big-man qualities that might convince the Suns to eat another contract."
