Arizona Cardinals Fly By Eagles 24-20 with Video Link
By Tony Fischer
The Arizona Cardinals won a key conference victory against the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20 in front of a neutral crowd at home. There seemed to be an unordinary amount of Eagles fans in attendance for the game that saw the Arizona Cardinals use the big play to out score the high flying Eagles offense.
Big Play Carson
The game winning touchdown came in the waning seconds on the fourth quarter when Carson Palmer found John Brown on a post route for a 75 yard touchdown pass.
This was the second big play of the game for Palmer who also found veteran Larry Fitzgerald on an 80 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.
Hostile Crowd?
The Arizona Cardinals were at home for their win against the Eagles. At least that is what the schedule said. The Eagles fans certainly turned out at the nest, loudly out cheering the Cardinals fans. In fact when John Brown scored the winning touchdown you could clearly here the Eagles fans groaning in disapproval.
It didn’t seem to have an affect on the Birdgang who played as if their play-off lives depended on it.
Tie-Breaker Baby
Conference games are a key tie breaker when deciding who goes to the play-off. The Arizona Cardinals now hold the tie breaker over an Eagles team they may be competing with for a playoff spot down the stretch.
Next Up
The schedule doesn’t get any easier next week when the Arizona Cardinals head to Dallas to take on another playoff contender in the Cowboys.
