Arizona State Sun Devils V Utah Utes Start Time, TV and more

The stake couldn’t be any higher for the Arizona State sun Devils this Saturday.  After the first ever college football rankings were released last week, the Sun Devils are within striking distance of the College Football Playoffs but they have to win out to make it. 

That quest for the College Football Playoff starts today when they host the #17 Utah Utes.  The Utes have playoff aspiration themselves but need to beat ASU to have any kind of a shot.  The 2014 season represents the best for the Utes in around a decade and they understand the challenge the face after taking the Sun Devils to the wire last season.

"“We haven’t beaten ASU in a while,” Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said. “Last year we had them on the ropes. I think we had a 10-point lead deep into the fourth quarter and we felt like we let that one get away from us, and that was disappointing.”"

Although they defeated the Utes last year, Sun Devils head coach Todd Graham is aware that the Utes have a much improved offense this season espeically in the running game.

"“The biggest difference in their team this year is their running back,” Graham said. “He is very physical, I don’t know him but I like him. He makes you tackle him, he runs hard, and you can tell their line has a belief in him, and it’s a team that understands you need to run the football to win.”"

This game is an elimination game for both teams and a must win they hope to get into the playoff.
