This Sunday the Arizona Cardinals will face another NFC contender when they visit Jerry World to play the Dallas Cowboys. It is another game for the Arizona Cardinals with playoff implications as conference record is a major tie breaker for the playoffs. When the two face off today, here are the things the Arizona Cardinals need to do to beat the Cowboys.

Stop the Run

If the Cardinals are able to stop Demarco Murray running for 100 yards or so, this will greatly improve their chances of beating the cowboys, especially if Romo isn’t 100% or starting at all. Let’s just think about this, if the Cards put the ball in the hands of Weeden or Romo, do you think the Cowboys will be able to beat this good defense. The answer is No. Both quarterbacks will collapse and the Cardinals will take every advantage they can.

Pass the Ball

This Cowboy defense is all right, but with the offensive weapons that the Cardinals have, the Cards should be able to torch the Cowboys’ defense. Their secondary is bad and Bruce Arians is a good enough coach to figure out how to attack this teams defensive backfield.

Blitz

Yeah this is something the Cardinals already do but they have to put pressure on Romo. If you watched his last appearance on Monday Night Football, it was clear he couldn’t handled the blitz. If Romo plays he won’t be 100% and that will make blitzing him even more deadly. If Brandon Weeden plays blitzing could also uncork an interception or two. Whoever starts under center, defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will have his players gunning for the quarterback on every blitz.

Prediction

This will be a good game but I believe the Cardinals are better than the Cowboys; score is going to be 27-21 in favor of the Arizona Cardinals.
