It was the youth movement that had Colby Rasmus riding the pine at the end of the 2014 season.  Ironically it could be another teams youth movement that lands him a free agent deal.  The Diamondbacks were big players at the trade deadline last season by unloading the contracts of Gerardo Parra and Brandon McCarthy.  The first to casualties in the Arizona Diamondbacks rebuilding effort.

But the team isn’t done.  Fox Sports baseball insider Ken Rosenthal reported on Sunday that the Diamondbacks are willing to move other major pieces including catcher Miguel Montero in order to position themselves for a run at a couple of free agents. One of those free agents could be Colby Rasmus.  The Blue Jays left-handed hitting center fielder could be the perfect place holder for Arizona Diamondbacks until outfield prospects A.J. Pollock and Ender Incaitre are ready for every day duty.
