In the after glow of their victory over the St. Louis Rams the Arizona Cardinals could be on the verge of getting really bad news.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Carson Palmer could have a torn ACL.
Palmer left the game against the Rams in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee injury. The severity of the injury is not yet known and await the results of further tests. This comes after the Cardinals quarterback just signed a 3 year $50 million contract extension.
Drew Stanton entered the game in relief of Palmer and helped his team take the lead and eventually a win. He could be under center next week when he faces his old team the 7-2 Detroit Lions in a battle for the best record in the NFC.
