Arizona State Sun Devils Move Up To 6 In College Football Playoff Rankings
The College Football Playoff Committee released their Week 11 rankings on Tuesday night and Arizona State has obviously impressed the Committee as they moved No. 9 to No. 6 in the national rankings.
The Sun Devils come into the rankings behind (in order): Mississippi State, Oregon, Florida State, TCU, and Alabama.

Mississippi State and Alabama will face off in Tuscaloosa this weekend with the loser of that matchup most likely moving below Arizona State if the Sun Devils can take care of business against Oregon State.
If Arizona State can beat Oregon State this weekend, Washington State next weekend, then Arizona in the final week of the regular season it will set up a Pac-12 Championship game between the Sun Devils and the Oregon Ducks.
The way it looks, both teams would be ranked in the top-five in the nation and only one team would be able to move on to the college football playoffs.
It is crazy how well the Sun Devils have bounced back from the 62-27 loss at home to UCLA. Since their lone loss, Arizona State has won five consecutive games, with four of those against top-25 schools.

UCLA has moved up to No. 11 in the College Football Playoff rankings, which helps the Sun Devils a bit that their loss was to the Bruins.

Arizona has moved up to 14th in the rankings and Utah has dropped to 23rd. Four of the five Pac-12 teams in the rankings this week are from the Pac-12 South, with just USC and Colorado outside the top-25.
Arizona State must take it game-by-game however. After five of six games against ranked opponents, a let-down/trap game may be in effect in Corvallis this weekend.

The Beavers started the season 4-1, but have lost their last four games. Oregon State has wins against Portland State, Hawaii, San Diego State, and Colorado…not the best resume out there.
If the Sun Devils can take care of Oregon State on Saturday night, they will find themselves as a top-five team in the CFP Rankings next week.
