Tomorrow, the Arizona Cardinals host the Detroit Lions in a huge NFC matchup. This game will have huge playoff implications and for the Cardinals, this will show if they can hang with the “big boys” with Palmer out for the year. Here are some big match ups for the game.

Golden Tate vs Antonio Cromartie

Calvin Johnson vs Patrick Peterson is the big matchup getting most of the national media’s attention, but this one is huge. When Calvin Johnson was injured, Golden Tate helped the Lions stay in the control of the NFC North. Cromartie has been consistent this year and has been a great complement to Peterson. This matchup won’t get that much media attention, but it will be very exciting to watch and could determine the winner. 

 The Detroit Lions D-Line vs The Arizona Cardinals O-line

This matchup is underrated (much like the players in this matchup) but it is vastly important in the context of the game. The Lions have been a dominant force in the front four and has been the key for this team being at 7-2. The same can be said about the Arizona Cardinals, their play has been very important to the reason they’re 8-1. The interior play of both sides will be very interesting to see what happens, with Suh and Fairley going up against the interior offensive line of the Cards. This is gonna be a fun matchup.

Drew Stanton vs the Detroit Lions Secondary

You guys knew this was coming. The Arizona Cardinals are placing their hopes and dreams on Stanton to be the hero for the team and save them from their season being wasted. I am a believer in the man but this secondary has been damn good, 2nd in pass defense. Drew does have talent, both in himself and surrounding him, he will have everything chance to succeed tomorrow.

I got the Arizona Cardinals winning in overtime 23-20, I think the Lions will give the Cards all they can handle, but I will bank on Bruce Arians to get his team to win the game.
