Phoenix Suns Looking For Consistency, Alex Len Should Start, P.J. Tucker Misses Bus and more….

The Meltdown:
Phoenix Suns Edition
It has been a puzzling season for the Phoenix Suns so far. Sometimes they look like a team that has the speed and shooting ability to beat anyone in the Western Conference. Then there are the times they struggle to beat teams they should be able to dominate.
While the Phoenix Suns were looking to find consistency on their East Coast trip, P.J.Tucker was doing his best to complicate the issue. Tucker was inactive for the Celtics game after missing the team bus. Apparently thats the only reason coach Jeff Hornacek needs to suspend a player for a game.
Meanwhile basketball heads are debating whether or not it is time for Alex Len to assume a larger role on the 2014 Phoenix Suns.
All of these links and more on today’s Phoenix Suns edition of The Meltdown.
From AZCentral: Phoenix Suns Seek Consistency On Road Trip
"The Suns are good enough to beat reigning champion San Antonio but vulnerable enough to get routed by Utah. The Suns are deep enough to have reserves lead them in scoring in seven of 10 games, but they have the sixth-lowest-scoring starting lineup. During this 5-5 start to the season, and during each of the games, the Suns are up and down."
From Arizona Sports: P.J. Tucker Suspended For Missing Team Bus
"P.J. Tucker watched the game from the bench in street clothes, the result of him missing the team bus following the Suns’ loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles Saturday night. Head coach Jeff Hornacek said there is no other issue with Tucker, but the veteran needed to atone for his mistake."
From SB Nation: Phoenix Suns Learn To Deal With Expectations
"Last year, the Phoenix Suns were 5-6 through 11 games. Back then, mediocrity looked pretty good for a team with zero expectations and even less external pressure. So, no one in Phoenix is worried too much about their inconsistent start this season. After holding off the Celtics on Monday night in an absurdly fast-paced game, they’re now 6-5 with three more road games against struggling Eastern Conference teams."
From Hoops Habit: It Time For The Phoenix Suns To Start Alex Len
"This has been a long time coming. Only a few weeks ago, I questioned whether or not it was time for the Phoenix Suns to make the switch from Miles Plumlee to Alex Len at starting center. Ultimately, I came to the same conclusion we’ve been drawing for the past year: unless it’s broken, don’t try to fix it. Three weeks into the NBA season, we’re getting close to definitively saying that starting Miles Plumlee in the starting job is might be a broken concept. Most people figured the 26-year-old Plumlee wasn’t the long-term solution at center for the Suns, but the injury-prone Len still hadn’t shown he was capable of taking over the starting job."
