Why Arizona Cardindals Defense Must Ball Out At Seattle
By Omar Soussi
The Arizona Cardinals head to Seattle for a huge matchup against the Seahawks this Sunday. They have a two game lead on the rest of the division and the rest of the conference but this is the divisional part of their season in which they face the Seahawks twice, 49ers and the Rams as well in their last six game stretch. The Cards were the first team to beat Seattle at CenturyLink with Russell Wilson is starting last season. However, you have to mention that Seattle had really nothing to play for at the time and it still took Arizona a lucky interception to keep Seattle from winning.

The team won’t have the quarterback who walked out of CenturyLink Field with the win (Carson Palmer) and they will go without arguably their best receiver Larry Fitzgerald who will likely not able to play due to a knee injury. Regardless of how well this squad has played when Palmer was injured, they head to arguably the toughest place to play in the NFL. Drew Stanton will struggle out there and the defense will have to ball out if they want a chance to win.
The reason the defense must ball out is the offense will facing a top 3 defense in the league, without thier best/favorite receiver (or if he is he won’t be 100%) available.
Seattle NEEDS to win in order to stay in the playoff hunt. You know the “Legion of Boom” will be going so hard that Drew Stanton will be lucky if he only turns over the ball once. The running game will be crushed and this leaves the defense. They have to ball out in order for the Cards to have a chance. They really need to get their passing defense on check as well, they have the talent but they get burned when they blitz. The running game will have a huge challenge going against Marshawn Lynch, but the Cards are 3th against the run, they should give the Hawks a run for their money.
The Arizona Cardinals will need the defense to ball out, if they don’t, they will go 9-2.
