Drew Stantons Ankle Injury Is Nothing Major

When Drew Stanton came up limping in the second half of the game in Seattle you could almost hear the entire state of Arizona holding their breath.  After all the team had already lost Carson Palmer for the year and Drew Stanton has missed time himself because of an injury earlier this season.

The Cardinals can ill afford to lose Stanton.  If that were to happen it means they would have to depend on Logan Thomas to get them through the playoffs. The Cards have been able to overcome quite a bit this season but an injury to Stanton would be very difficult.

Luckily for the Arizona Cardinals Drew Stanton’s injury is nothing major and shouldn’t affect his ability to start against Atlanta. In his post game comments he reassured the media that his injury was only a minor one.

"“I was scrambling and got rolled up on. Just got caught up in the pile, it wasn’t anything major. It’s not anything severe.”"

This is something to monitor over the week.  Mobility is a big part of Drew Stanton’s game.  His ability to move in and outside the pocket is key to his success as a quarterback. If Stanton’s mobility is limtied when game time in Atlanta rolls around that will be something Bruce Arians and company will have to account for in their game plan.
