The 3rd choice for the Sun Devils would be to return to the bowl of their latest bowl victory, the Foster Farms Bowl. The bowl was previously hosted at AT&T Park in San Francisco, but was moved to Santa Clara this year in the new 49ers stadium.

This year will also involve the 4th selection of Pac-12 teams instead of the 6th selection in previous years. Arizona State may run into a similar situation with the Foster Farms Bowl with Stanford being the local team that could steal some attention from Arizona State when the committee is deciding on who to have play there.

No matter what happens with Arizona State’s bowl, it will be a disappointment after being the No. 6 team in the nation just three weeks ago with big time bowl aspirations. A 9-3 season is nothing to be upset about, but having to settle for the Foster Farms Bowl was not in anyone’s agenda when the Sun Devils were sitting at 8-1 going into Corvallis.
